唐棣之华，偏其反而，岂不尔思？室是远而。”子曰：“未之思也，夫何远之有？”
译文
「唐棣树的花啊，翩翩地摇曳翻转。难道我不思念你吗？只是家太远了啊。」孔子说：「他根本没有真正在思念，若真心思念，又何来遥远之说呢？」
ENGLISH
"The flowers of the cherry-apple tree sway and flutter in the breeze. How could I not think of you? It is only that your home is so far away." The Master said: "He has not truly thought of her at all. For one who truly longs, what distance could ever be too great?"

①“唐棣”四句：这是逸诗。上两句用以起兴。唐棣，木名。华，同“花”。偏其反而，露地摇摆。反，翻转摇摆。
