原文
师冕见，及阶，子曰：“阶也。及席，子曰一席也。”皆坐，子告之曰：“某在斯，某在斯。”师冕出。子张问曰：“与师言之道与？"子曰：“然，固相师之道也。”
译文
乐师冕来拜见孔子，走到台阶边，孔子说：「这里是台阶。」走到席位边，孔子说：「这里是席位。」众人都落座之后，孔子一一告知他说：「某某坐在这个方位，某某坐在那个方位。」师冕离去之后，子张问道：「这就是与乐师交谈应有的礼数吗？」孔子说：「是的，这本就是引导、扶助乐师的礼道。」
ENGLISH
The blind musician Mian came to visit. When they reached the steps, the Master said: "Here are the steps." When they reached the mat, the Master said: "Here is your mat." When all were seated, the Master informed him, saying: "So-and-so is seated here, and so-and-so is seated there." After Mian had departed, Zizhang asked: "Is this the proper way to speak with a musician?" The Master said: "Indeed, this is precisely the way to guide and attend upon a blind musician."

①师：乐师。冕：人名。古代的乐师一般是盲人。
